Cannabis Laws in Greece
Cannabis in Crete is illegal for recreational purposes. In 2017, the Greek government legalized the use of cannabis for medical purposes. A year later, the ban on growing and producing was suspended. This enables pharmaceutical companies to grow cannabis legally, and industrial hemp suppliers too.
Greek drug laws have become tolerant. Hence the minimum sentence is now 5 months.

Getting weed in Crete
Unfortunately cannabis in Crete; recreational marijuana remains illegal in Greece. Although medicinal cannabis was finally legalized in the country in 2017.
Nowadays you can try your luck by asking random beach dude that looks like a stoner about cannabis in Crete. If they’ve got weed on them. They might try to inflate the price if they think you’re clueless. When it comes to pricing so be aware of that. Eur10/gram would be a great price for cannabis in Crete. But it can sometimes go as high as Eur20/gram, depending on the grade.
That said, the strains here aren’t nearly as good as strains in Amsterdam. Because there aren’t any exotics. Hash is a lot more common than weed so you might have to settle for that.
